He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Christine Stevens and Ruvain Stevens; his wife Brenda Stevens; his brother Derek Stevens; his sister-in-law Tavy Stevens; his children, John Charles Cummings, Penny Sue Cummings, Jennifer Renee Dukes and Dennis Anthony Dukes; his grandchildren, Brittany Shanae Thornton, Chumani Denzel Johnson, Brendon Maxwell Cummings, Sa'bren Rakira Dukes, Sabastian Dukes and Legend Locklear Cummings; and his brothers, Donald Stevens, David Stevens and Charles Smith. He was also cherished by his nieces and nephews, aunts, relatives, and a host of friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Revels Funeral Home (3575 N Roberts Ave, Lumberton, NC 28360). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
