With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Jane Powers of Lumberton, North Carolina, who passed away on November 7, 2023 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Johnson and Mildred Arnette Johnson; her husband James P. Powers; her children, Nigel Powers, Marvin Bhrett, Gidget Renee and Stephen Reid; and her brother Robert Johnson.
She is survived by: her daughter Dedra Stilley of Goldsboro, NC; her grandsons, CJ Stilley and James Stilley of Jay, OK; her brother Michael Johnson (Brenda) of Hope Mills, NC; her sister-in-law Julia Johnson of Lake View, SC; and her sibling's children, Alan Johnson (Shana), Lee Johnson (Rhonda), Brian Johnson (Emily) and Michele Johnson (Kevin). She is also survived by eight great-nieces and great-nephews.
