With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ella Britt Herring of Lumberton, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 10, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Britt and Effie Phillips Britt; her former husband E. M. Hardin; her husband Charles Herring; and her siblings, Thomas Luther "T. L." Britt, Jeffie Ray Britt, Ruth Hardin and Lula Atelia Britt Bass.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon Lawson (Robert) of Lumberton and Donna Driggers (Darwin) of Raleigh; her grandsons, Jacob Driggers, Ben Driggers and Nick Driggers; and her caregivers, Sylvia Smith, Renee Bennett and Janet Lundy.
