He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Pate and Dora Davis Pate; and his siblings, Rudolph Pate, Elwood Pate, John "Bose" Pate, Frankie Dunie, Dorothy Driscoll, Emma Dale Stone and Mildred Pate.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Kinlaw Pate; his son Robin Pate (Christy); his granddaughter Madison DeShane (Edward); his great grandchild Leah; his granddaughter Ashlynn Hale (Garrett); and his great grandchildren, Christina and David. He is also survived by his wife, son, granddaughters, and great-grandchildren as well as his extended family.
