He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen A. Hammond and Beulah Mae Lowery; and his siblings, Billy Hammond, Lloyd A. Hammonds, Cordell Hammond and Betty Ray Hammonds Oxendine.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Hammonds; his children, Frankie Hammonds (Patricia), Steve Hammonds, Sandy Dean Hammonds (Robbie Mae), Clifton Hammonds (Stephanie) and Natasha Carr (Charles Anthony); and his siblings, Ronald Hammonds, Ledger Hammond, Celia Hammonds and Wyvonne Locklear. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and a host of friends.
