With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Iona Oxendine Hodges of Lumberton, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Delma Oxendine and Magnolia Woods Oxendine; her husband Paul Forrest Hodges; her sons, John Edward Hodges and Steven Brett Hodges; and her siblings, Ervin D. Oxendine, Earl S. Oxendine, Delmus Oxendine Jr., Robert Lynn Oxendine and Mazelene Byerly.
She is survived by: her son Andrew Oxendine of Red Springs; and her siblings, Ray Oxendine (Paula) of Lumberton, Archie Oxendine of Red Springs, Carolyn Locklear of Red Springs, Marilyn Oxendine of Red Springs and Gladys Lowery (Leonard Jr.) of Lumberton. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
