He is survived by: his wife Iris Kirby Sanders; his son James Jerel Sanders; his granddaughter Ja'Lissa Campbell; his great grandchild Avry Campbell of Lumberton; and his siblings, Linda Sanders Singletary (George) of Clayton, Doris Sanders Talbert of Charlotte, Rudolph Sanders of Tampa and Ralph McClain (Betty).
