He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Evans and Eva Mae Evans; his siblings, Pat Nance, Loyce Sanderson and Elton Evans; and his great grandchild Casson Wayne Goldsmith.
He is survived by: his wife Pauline Evans; his children, Ronald Patrick Evans of Lumberton, NC, James Franklin Evans, Jr. (Susan) of Lumberton, NC, Rita Elaine Kissam (Danny), Anita Gail Evans of Lumberton, NC and Rose Carroll (Jeff) of Bladenboro, NC; and his brothers, Milton Evans (Joanne) of Lumberton, NC and Richard "Dicky" Evans (Joyce) of Lumberton, NC. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
