He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Frank and Thelma Baxley Taylor; and his siblings, Frank, Ertle Taylor, Margaret Townsend and Shelby Smith.
He is survived by: his son Johnny Taylor Jr. (Deanna); his brother Jackie Taylor (Peggy); his sister-in-law Mary Taylor; his siblings' children, James Robinson Jr. and Ann Locklear (Pamela Westbrooke) of Lumberton; his sister Betty Russ of Chicago; his grandchildren, Nicole Deleon of Hinesville, GA, Sharlene Turner of Bladenboro, NC and Russell Packer of Atlanta, GA; and his friends, Johnny Jr., Deanna and Street.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Speight Taylor Cemetery (6815 NC-211, Lumberton, NC 28358).
