It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathron Scott (Lumberton, North Carolina), who passed away on September 14, 2022, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Albert Scott and Hazel Frances Strickland Scott; her daughter Mary Francis Scott; her brothers, Donald Earl Scott (Duck), Jimmy Scott, Jerry Scott and Larry Scott; and her grandparents, Harmond, Jessie Bell Strickland, Marvin and Luevaner Scott (Mama Lue).
She is survived by: her children, Nicole Scott (Dean), Matthew (Virnitia), James Michael (Teresa) and Charles (Sam); her close friend McKenzie; her grandchildren, DeShana (Allen), Shane, Shawn, Andrew (Mary Beth) and Deana; her siblings, Thurman Scott, Peggy (Charles) and Betty Ann Hammonds; and her niece Tonya Hunt (Jimmy). She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
