He is survived by: his former wife Dorothea Bernice Hammonds; his sons, Jason Charles Cope, Joshua Hammonds and Keno Aaron Hammonds; and his siblings, Betty Rose Kale, Valentine Mincey, Virginia Wells, Alice Ann Knight, Glen Hammonds and Rickey Hammonds. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
