It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Ray Chavis (Lumberton, North Carolina), born in Dillon, South Carolina, who passed away on November 19, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Chavis and Agnes Chavis; and his grandparents, Gussie and Flowers Hunt. He is survived by: his brother Chester Chavis; his wife Loleta Hunt Chavis; his children, Melissa Hammonds and Alex Chavis (Deidria) of Lumberton; his siblings, Jerry Chavis (Donna) of Pembroke and Tammie Jump of Lumberton; and his granddaughter Raelyn Hammonds.
