She was predeceased by: her daughter Barbara Ann Byrd; her parents, Oscar Grimsley and Elise Bullock Grimsley; and her brothers, Randell Grimsley and Bill Grimsley.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry Byrd; her daughter Leslie Lee (Jerome) of Lumberton; her grandchildren, Jerry Lee (Jessica) of Fayetteville, Aaron Lee of Lumberton, Christian Baxley (Faith), Matthew Byrd and Tabitha Bass; and her siblings, Junior Grimsley (Paulette), Betty Ingbretson, Peggy Sasser and Carol Cook (Jerry). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
