He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlie D. Carter and Ruby B. Carter. He is survived by: his son Darin (Vanessa Carter); his grandchildren, Lorin Sandles, Aneisha Alford, Simone Hooker and Devin Hooker; and his siblings, Vickie Carter, Darrell (Barbara), Randy (Sue), Demetress (Stevie), Rev. Anthony Carter (Penny), Adrian Carter and Monica Carter. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
