He is survived by: his wife Belinda Chavis; his children, Anisha Chavis of Lumberton and Marcus Chavis of New York; his siblings, Marie Locklear of Pembroke, NC, Lue Haigler (Wayne) of Charlotte, NC, Patricia Cook (Tommy) of Lumberton, NC, Barbara Jacobs of Pembroke, NC, Connie Hendricks of York, SC, Brenda Boyter of Charlotte, Anderson Chavis (Helen) of Lumberton, NC, Ancile Chavis (Brenda) of Fairmont, NC and Donald Chavis (Sue) of Gastonia, NC.; his siblings-in-law, Jimmy Cummings, Josie Cummings of Pembroke, NC., Joann Chavis of Pembroke, NC. and Libby L. Oxendine (Clint Oxendine) of Pembroke, NC.; Bishop Kenneth Locklear. He is also survived by "Girl Friend", and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, cousins, and friends.
