She was predeceased by: her parents, Garland Skipper and Sally Mae Rowland Skipper; her husband Rowland Dewey Carroll, Sr.; and her siblings, Robert Glen Skipper, Hilda Fields, Billie Rose Holmes and Milton Skipper.
She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Lynn Carroll (Janie) of Troy, NC, Rowland Dewey Carroll, Jr. (Cindy) of Garner and Connie Carroll Herring (Delvin) of St. Pauls; her grandchildren, Jamie Carroll (Alper), Ridge Carroll, Laura Harrell (Blake), Adam Bass (Summer) and Brittany Ackerman (Corey); and her great grandchildren, Ben, Emma, Olivia, Thomas and James.
