Matthew James Holmes Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 13, 2025, at the age of 68, Matthew James Holmes (Lumberton, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid Matthew farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Matthew is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law JB; his parents, Roy Lee and Juanita Holmes; and his sisters, Neacie Boykin and Jackie Pollard.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Central & Worley Mortuary (219 E 3rd St, Lumberton, NC 28358).
