He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Huggins and Nettie Hardin Huggins; and his siblings, Myree Hedgpeth, Archie Huggins, Alma H. Simmons, Flora Sealey and Leo.
He is survived by: his sister Hazel McPhatter of Lumberton, NC; and his niece Jackie Kissam Bass (Phil). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and numerous friends.
