He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ander Scott and Anne Collins Scott (late Ander Scott); his significant other Shelia Scott; and his aunts and uncles, Bill Scott, Earl Scott, Donald Ray Scott, Perlie Scott, Sera Revels, Winnie Locklear, Docia Scott and Wanda Scott.
He is survived by: his children, Amy Scott and Jason Scott of Lumberton; his grandchildren, Kiara Sweat, Layleeona Sweat, Vivianna Hunt, Justice Scott and Akisha Scott; his siblings, Kevin Scott (Angela) of St. Pauls, Jackie Scott (Michelle) of St. Pauls, David Scott (Gerald) of St. Pauls, Cathy Conley (late Hearl Conley) and Brenda Locklear (Cagle); and his uncles, Delton Scott (Bonnie) of Pembroke, Charlie (Norma) of Pembroke and Thomas Scott (Joan) of Pembroke.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Revels Funeral Home (3575 N Roberts Ave, Lumberton, NC 28360). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Rock Church of God (2209 W Carthage Rd, Lumberton, NC 28360). A burial was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at the Lumbee Memorial Gardens (774 Moss Neck Rd, Lumberton, NC 28360).
