She was predeceased by: her mother Alene Baxley Smith; her husband Albert Smith; and her siblings, Margaret Helmke, Douglas Smith and Floyd "Tony" Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Jeff Davis (Donna) of Lumberton, NC, Timmy Ray Davis (Sheila), Gretchen Bass (Doug) of Lumberton, NC and Tammy Doyle (Jason) of Castle Hayne, NC; her sister Mary Ellen Tyson of Clinton, NC; and her caregiver Kathy Bullock. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
