With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Neill Lee Jr. of Lumberton, North Carolina, who passed away on July 1, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Neill Lee, Sr. and Katherine MacLaurin MacKinnon Lee; his wife Elisabeth Holmes Lee; his siblings, Katherine Currie Lee McCormick and Lauchlin MacKinnon Lee; and his son-in-law Adam Peter Schmitz.
He is survived by: his children, Elisabeth Wooten Lee Schmitz, Mary Catherine MacKinnon Lee, Neill Currie Lee and Robert Holmes Lee; his grandchildren, Ezekiel Adam Schmitz and Josephine Elisabeth Schmitz; and his brother Edward Smith Lee.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Public Library of Robeson County, 101 N. Chestnut St, Lumberton, 28358, in memory of Dr. Lee.
