She was predeceased by: her parents, Hiawatha Berry, and Lurenda Moore Berry, Sr.; her husbands, Samuel Leazer, Sr. and Benedict Rouse; and her siblings, Leron M. Meredith, Hiawatha Berry, Jr., Anthony Berry and Gregory O. Berry.

She is survived by: her children, Dr. Tyra Monique Holman (Jeff) of Morrow, OH and S. Marcus Leazer (Lois); her caregiver Aid Society; her siblings, Mary Gwyn (Fred) of Elkin, NC, Golda Ellis of Durham, NC, Melanee Bennett of Pilot Mountain, NC, Dr. Gloria Berry-Holly of Hillsborough, NC, Charles M. Berry (Helen) of Haw River, NC, James I. Berry (Margaret) of King George, VA, Mary Brown, Clara Carter (James) of Mt. Airy, NC, C. W. Webster, Elder Robert Webster (Evangelist Beverly), Franklin Webster of Columbus, GA and Sherman Webster of Winston-Salem, NC.; her brother-in-law William Dudley of Wilmington, NC; and her godchildren, Hiawatha 'Butch Berry, III, Abdul Ellis, Maggie Holly, Bria Berry-Holly, Shaunta D. Johnson, William Dudley, Jr., Yasmine McKiver and Joyden McKiver. She is also survived by Many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
