She was predeceased by: her parents, Velton Elbert Cox and Carrie Bundy Cox; her husband Billy Thomas Byrd; and her siblings, Dorius Bundy, Charles E. Cox, James E. "Buddy Boy" Cox, Nina Grace Cox, Betty Cox Blackwell, Peggy Cox Pait White and Linda Cox Coe.
She is survived by: her children, Steven Byrd (Sarah) of Raleigh, NC and Sherri Byrd-Newberry (Kevin); her granddaughters, Chloe of Lumberton and Elizabeth Newberry (Lizzy) of Lumberton; and her siblings, Thomas W. Bundy of Lumberton, NC, Alice Davis (Bobby B.) of Lumberton, NC and Pam Davis (Rod). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and other family members.
