It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sherwood Patterson (Lumberton, North Carolina), who passed away on October 3, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Angus Patterson and Margie Patterson; and his sisters, Shirley McCallum, Clytherillia Hall, Rena Wallace and Levon Patterson.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Patterson; his children, Sister Wanda Patterson, Christopher Patterson, William Patterson and Kimberly Patterson; his grandchildren, Deja Patterson, Tre'quan Gordan and Zahki Patterson; his great grandchildren, Jayshion Patterson and Zavion Lewis; his grandchildren, Zabean Lewis and Makiya Rogers; his mother-in-law Gennet Smith of Pembroke, NC.; his siblings, Susan Patterson of Raleigh, NC, Naella Love of Red Springs, NC. and John Wilbur Patterson of Boston; his nieces, Tiffany and Nicole Walker of Raleigh, NC.; and his friends, Steve Pipkin, Johnny Pipkin, Arie Cade, Larry Evans and Larry Dean Locklear. He is also survived by His sister in laws, brother in laws, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
