She was predeceased by: her daughter Acadia Wilcox; her grandmothers, Clara Mae Hammonds and Mildred Townsend; and her great-grandparent Julie Bullard. She is survived by: her parents, Michael Anthony Townsend of New York and Teresa Hammonds of Lumberton; her children, Ahlillyona Locklear, Carly Moore of Lumberton, Kileen Moore of Lumberton and Michael A. Townsend Jr. of Texas; her siblings, Trina Smith (Dairrion) of Texas and Michael A. Townsend, Jr. of Texas; and her aunt Joyce Fields. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cornerstone Community Church (702 Dunn Rd, Lumberton, NC 28358).
