He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack Willie Carmichael and Laura Washington Carmichael; his wife Mary "Nancy" Carmichael (Thompson); his brothers, Clarence Carmichael and Lester Carmichael; and his grandson Karl "KJ" Davis II.
He is survived by: his children, William "Gary" Carmichael and Tonia "Selina" Davis (Carmichael); his children-in-law, Vedia Carmichael and Karl Davis; his sister Hattie McDonald; his grandchildren, Shaquille Carmichael, Quincy Davis, Christian Davis, Mercedes Triplett and Porscha Johnson; his great grandchildren, Malachi Triplett and Amadi Brielle Johnson; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Carmichael, Daphne Elliott, Betty Chambers, Frances Shannon, Jimmy Thompson, James Thompson and Billy Thompson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Colvin Funeral Home Chapel (1904 E Elizabethtown Rd, Lumberton, NC 28358). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Floyd's Temple (2946 Regan Church Rd, Lumberton, NC 28358-1526).
