He is survived by: his parents, William Howard Flantos and Sharon Kinlaw; his sister Kelly Oxendine (Mike); his niece Kendra (Alan); his great-niece Kalidy; and his sibling's children, Colin, Kylie and Jenna. He is also survived by numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Because Michael loved animals, his family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to the Robeson County Animal Shelter, 255 Landfill Road, St. Pauls, NC 28384.
