He is survived by: his daughter Melissa Shearin; his mother Winnie Belle Mullen Askew; his siblings, Linda Askew Futrell (David) and Dannie Askew (Merry); his nieces, Brittany Askew, Angela Askew and Tiffany Morris; his great-niece Chyann Harris; and his grandson Kasey Shearin. He is also survived by two great grandchildren.
