He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius R. Wooten, Sr. and Mamie Varnell Wooten; and his brothers, Julius R. Wooten, Jr., Ronald B. Wooten and William B. Wooten.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Joyce Rogers; his children, Melvin (Dawn), Tammy (Will) and Mark (Joanna); his grandchildren, Russell Coletti (Hannah), Katie Clay, Lauren Wooten, Logan Wooten, Grace Wooten and Landon Wooten; and his great grandchildren, Chloe, James and Ryan Coletti.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his honor to Maccriprine Free Will Baptist Church.
