He was predeceased by: his father Staton Lawrence Cummings. He is survived by: his wife Vickie Webb Cummings; his sons, Michael Staton Cummings, Jr. of Tarboro and Colby Tripp Cummings (Rhonda) of Cedar Point; his granddaughter Aubrey Ann Cummings; his mother Dorothy Tripp Cummings of Pinetops; his sister Ginger C. Pate (Tommy) of Winterville; his sibling's children, Casey Pate and George Pate (Mackenzie Harris) of Winterville; and his close friends, Steven and Casey Sills of Pinetops.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM at the Webbs Chapel Baptist Church (2771 Webbs Chapel Rd, Macclesfield, NC 27852). A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
