It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stephen Gilbert Bishop Jr. of Macclesfield, North Carolina, who passed away on December 9, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxine Bishop and Steve Bishop. He is survived by: his significant other Cynthia "Cindy" Stelck; his brothers, Randy Bishop, Sr. (Diane) and J. W. Bishop; his grandchildren, Stephen Joyner, Jeremy Joyner, Christian Hudgins and Brantley Stelck; his nephews, Randy Bishop, Jr. and Darby Bishop; and his pets, Sweet Pea and Lilly.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Joyner's Funeral Home (4100 Raleigh Rd Pkwy W, Wilson, NC 27896). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
