We are sad to announce that, on December 12, 2022, at the age of 66, Ann Hankins Shelton of Madison, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Leonard Hankins; her husband Lester Shelton; and her sister Jenny Hankins. She is survived by: her daughter Laura Southard (Jason); her grandchildren, Lane, Mattie Southard, Blake, Kayley Shelton, Jordan Shelton, Atley and Olivia Wilson; her siblings, Alicia Atkinson (Steve), Lynn Hankins (Michele) and Jimmy Hankins; her sister-in-law JoAnn Murray (Bobby); her close friend Wanda Overman; her brothers-in-law, Jimmy Shelton (Wanda) and Dwight Shelton (Debbie); her stepsons, Brad (Jennifer) and Brandon Shelton; and her nieces and nephews, Scott Hankins, Shannon Helms (Tim), Kathryn Atkinson, Miller, Austin (Sarah), Layton Helms, Clint Hankins (Shelly), Ella, Logan Hankins, Nathan Hankins, Ashley McCoy, Courtney Williams, Jessica Kratchmer and Amber Wade.
