She was predeceased by: her father Robert Bob; her husband Willie Nick Bennett; her grandson Ritchie Bennett; and her siblings, Ulus, Willis, Paul Mabe, Stella Stephens, Thelma Cook, Ola Fagg, Lear Dyson, Roxie Cromer, Martha Joyce, Bazie Smith and Mattie Sue Mabe.

She is survived by: her children, Jackie Bennett (Patricia), Johnnie Bennett (Sue), Rickey Bennett (Gail), Phil Bennett (Renee) and Mollie Hampton (Terry); her grandchildren, Billy Bennett, Michael Bennett (Jennifer), Christie Hutson (Heath), Abrem Bennett, Anthony Bennett (Jill), Kandace Whicker and Ashley Bennett (Sherry); and her aunt Josie Mabe. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
