He was predeceased by: his parent Lee Joyce; and his brothers, Willard, Woodrow, Cabel, Kirby and Maynard Joyce.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Montgomery Joyce; his son Dean Joyce (Angie); his grandchildren, DJ and Jessica Joyce; and his siblings, Lemmie Joyce (Melinda) and Luberta Wall.
