He was predeceased by: his parents, Williard "Pete" Payne Wilson and Berta "Bert" Elizabeth Peay Wilson; and his sister Glenda Ann Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Linda Still Wilson; his daughters, Dana Wilson Joyce and Candy Wilson Bowlin (Mike); his grandchildren, Brock Bowlin (Sarah), Cody Joyce (Kerrigan), Caitlyn Joyce (Mason Williams), Blake Bowlin Foulks (Hunter) and Courtney Joyce; his great grandchildren, Kinslee Joyce, Cooper Joyce and Aubrey Kate Foulks; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Peyton and Ryver Clark; and his brother Johnny Wilson (Mattie). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 7th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel (127 Ellisboro Rd, Madison, NC 27025). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
