He was predeceased by: his parents, Osley Fonzy Joyce and Hazel Hawkins Joyce; his wife Donna Tucker Joyce; and his brother Archie Lee Joyce. He is survived by: his children, Heather Joyce James (Brandon) and Matthew Allen Joyce (Jessica); his grandchildren, Kayleigh James, Kegan James, Tootie, Bruno and Harley; his sisters, Judy Hennis (Jerry), Donna Ellis (Donnie), Debra Price (Jim) and Jan Fulcher (Paul); and his close friend Cindy Sizemore. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery (4543 NC-772, Madison, NC 27025).
