He is survived by: his wife Janet Gibson of Madison; his stepsons, Mark Thacker of Madison and Vann Thacker (Penny) of Madison; his stepgrandchildren, Heather Thacker of Madison, Tiffany Thacker of Stoneville and Ivey Thacker of Greenville, NC; his siblings, Ronnie Gibson (Terri) of Winston-Salem, Violet Brown of Durham and Sue Elder of High Point; and his caregivers, Donna Newsom, Shelia Anderson and Curtis Oliver.
