We announce the death of Dwight D. Loftis of Madison, North Carolina, who passed away on September 1, 2026, at the age of 75. Dwight will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Seldon Loftis and Lillie Bell Walton Loftis; his wife Jeanette Parrish Loftis; his siblings, Rev. Bill Loftis, Andy Loftis, Wayne Loftis, Harold Loftis and Effie Bell "Sis" Moore; and his sister-in-law Frances Loftis.
He is survived by: his son Richard Loftis (Christina); his grandchildren, Hailey Loftis Loy (Baker), Delaney Loftis and Caitlin Loftis; and his brother Tim Loftis.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Maple Lawn Baptist Church (5401 NC-65, Reidsville, NC 27320). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial donations be made to Hospice of the Piedmont at 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
