She was predeceased by: her father William Daves; her sister Vicky Daves; her grandparents, Annie Stewart and Spurgeon Stewart; her uncles, Bobby, Everette and Tommy Stewart; and her nephews, Danny Robertson and Frank Cunningham.
She is survived by: her close friend Larry Higgins of Madison, NC; her children, Steve Lester (Kathy) of Reidsville and Kim Lester; her mother Irene Daves; her grandson Nathan Lester (Haley); and her siblings, Bill (Sandra), Michael (Tammy), Judy and Evelyn. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, several aunts, uncles and other extended family.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Greenview Cemetery (1004 Montgomery St, Reidsville, NC 27320).
