He was predeceased by: his grandmother Mary Ruth; his wife Mary Ruth Wall; his parents, John Lowell Wall and Mattie Sue Wall Sands; and his stepfather Roy James Sands.
He is survived by: his sons, David Wall (Leslie) of Madison and Patrick Wall of High Point; his granddaughters, Dr. Brittany Wall of Tampa and Ashton Wall of Madison; and his siblings, Mary Sue Manring (Lewis), Lowell "Buck" Wall, Martha Gann, Judy Varner and Jesse.
