She was predeceased by : her parents, Billy Payne and Lillie Ore Payne; her husband McKinley Coolidge Gentry; her daughter Janice Gentry Farmer; her great grandchild McKinley Farmer; and her siblings, William "Buster" Payne, John Payne, Myrtle Washburn, Mabel Shelton, Annie Shelton and Gwen Payne.
She is survived by : her son-in-law Leon Farmer of Stoneville; her grandsons, Steven Farmer (Meghan) of Ruffin and Kevin Farmer (Kristy) of Keeling, VA; her stepgrandson David Farmer (Margaret) of Rockingham; and her great grandchildren, Evan Purnell, Owen Farmer, Ella Farmer and Ruby Farmer. She is also survived by seven nieces and three nephews.
