He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Wilton Gunn and Bessie Arlene Sutphin Gunn; his siblings, Carolyn Gunn, Wade, Leonard, Harold and Jimmy Gunn; and his sisters-in-law, Linda Gunn and Alice Gunn.
He is survived by: his wife Abigail Hall Gunn; his daughter Kendra Gunn Howard (Joe); his grandchildren, Justin Howard (Hope) and Jenna Howard Thomasson (Joseph); his great grandchild Martha Joy Thomasson; his son Jason Hall (Mandi); his grandchildren, Madison, Makenna Dwiggins and Skylar Grace Hall; his siblings, Bettie G. Phillips, Diane G. Baker, John Gunn (Janice), Lewis Gunn (Phyllis) and Mac Gunn; and his sisters-in-law, Adelle Gunn and Deana Gunn. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church, 8011 NC 704 Hwy, Madison, NC 27025.
