He is survived by: his wife Margaret Williams Burnette; his children, Gary Burnette, Jeffrey "Buck" Burnette, Mark Burnette, Tyler Burnette, Renee Poole, Sue Dunlap, Cindy Burnette and Taylor Smith; his grandchildren, Billy, Peyton, LeeLee, Keith, Ashlynne, Kristen, Jesse, Hannah, Jasmine, Joseph, Gary, Brianna, Taylor, Jr., Tyler, Jr. and Ryker; his great grandchildren, Waylon, Dallas, William, Coner, Clark, Andrew and Austin; and his siblings, Woody Burnette, Lonnie "Punk" Burnette, Steve Burnette, Donald "PeeWee" Burnette, Louise Tilley and Sissy Wilson.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home (127 Ellisboro Rd, Madison, NC 27025). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel (127 Ellisboro Rd, Madison, NC 27025).
