She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Sizemore and Bethel Whitten Sizemore; her husband Roger E. Smith, Sr.; her daughter Martha Sullivan; her grandson Philip Hall; and her siblings, James, Scott, Danny, Paul, Joe, Perry, Myrtle, Cora and Lucy.

She is survived by: her children, Roger E. Smith, Jr., Mary "Sissy" Hall, Denise Jolly and Michelle Nieves; her siblings, Ada Wells and Wayne Sizemore; and her daughter Shannon Smith. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Herman Methodist Church Cemetery and/or the American Cancer Society.
