Peggy Moore Hopper Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Peggy Moore Hopper (Madison, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 18, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Moore and Hazel Moore; her sister-in-law JoAnn Moore; and her nephew Keith Moore. She is survived by: her husband Will R. Hopper; her daughter Julie Tucker (Jay); her grandchildren, Olivia Vaden (Seth), Lindsay Tucker (Hunter Smith) and Lillie Ramsey (Peyton); her great grandchildren, Levi Vaden, Hudson Vaden, Ethan O'Bryant, Brennan O'Bryant, Hallie Smith and Kynlee Ramsey; her siblings, Norman Moore and Linda Hazelwood (John); Jean Tucker.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home (127 Ellisboro Rd, Madison, NC 27025). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Ellisboro Baptist Church (1604 Ellisboro Rd, Madison, NC 27025).
Flowers are welcomed to honor Peggy's lifelong love for gardening, however memorial contributions may be made to Children's Home Society, PO Box 14608, Greensboro, NC 27415 and/or to the Ellisboro Baptist Church Toy Store, 1604 Ellisboro Road, Madison, NC 27025.
