He was predeceased by: his parents, Robah Baskum Flynt, Sr. and Lettie Smith Flynt; his siblings, Loyal Flynt, Cecil Flynt, Lavella Owensby, Christine Flynt and Lottie Guringer; and the mother of his children Lorena Flynt.

He is survived by: his wife Katherine Sheppard Flynt; his children, Steve Flynt (Stormi), Robah Flynt (Nicka), Chris Flynt (Tina), Julia Locklear (Marcus) and Genie Flynt; his grandchildren, Amber Hanks, Brandon Flynt, Robah Flynt, Adam Atkins, Justin Flynt, Devin Flynt, Isabella Flynt, Tyler Hopkins, Stormy Hopkins, Dylan Wilson, Davis Flynt, Ava Milliner and Autumn Locklear; his great grandchildren, Cooper Flynt, Henry Flynt, Coleson Hopkins and Hazel Hopkins; his stepchildren, Donnis Champion, Mark Sheppard (Kay), Kathi Price (Tim) and Angela McDonald (Brandon); and his brother J. D. Flynt. He is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel (127 Ellisboro Rd, Madison, NC 27025). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
