She was predeceased by: her parents, William Troy Nelson and Duncan Nelson of Missouri; and her siblings, Hassell, Wade Nelson, Inice Stewart and Fay Gann.
She is survived by: her son Doug Thornton (Sheree); her granddaughter Taylor Mabe (Will); her sisters, Beulah Vernon and Shelby Corum; her niece Cathy; and her nephew Todd Brown.
