With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Tommy Ellington Wood (Madison, North Carolina), who passed away on September 28, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Moir Ellington Wood and Louise Robertson Wood; and his son Bradley Wood. He is survived by: his wife Joan Joyce Wood; his sons, Garry Wood (Gaye) and Brock Wood (Melissa); his grandchildren, Garrett Wood (Sydney), Lora Wood, Isaac Wood and Jamison Wood; his great grandchildren, Georgia Wood and Walker Thomas Wood; and his sisters, Virginia DeHart (Ellis) and Mary Lou Mabe (Todd). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:45 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel (1020 Hope Beasley Rd, Sandy Ridge, NC 27046). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
