He is survived by: his wife Brenda Smathers; his daughter Erin Smathers Hightower (Chad); his sister Freida Smathers Medford; his grandchildren, Barrett, Haylan, Gabby and Saylah; and his great grandchild Emersyn. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends.
