He is survived by: his wife Carleen Garr Shipley; his daughters, Jessica Phillips and Nichole Shipley; his siblings, Steve, Ron Shipley, Connie and Karen Shipley; and his granddaughter Annalisse Phillips. He is also survived by his family and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Maggie Valley.
